Recently, Nelson Builders had the opportunity to partner with Solid Rock Ministries and Bethany Christian Services to help our community. We were able to volunteer our skills to help to build a ramp and help make this home accessible for a family with a member that requires a wheelchair and access up to the front door had previously been a struggle.
We had a great time serving this family and working alongside some fine engineers from Disher who also volunteered to help make this possible!
A representative of Bethany Christian Services reached out and shared, “After the build, I connected with the family through an interpreter. They thanked everyone involved and expressed how grateful they were for the ramp. I have noticed a significant change in attitude when visiting the family in-person, too. The ramp has considerably raised the mood in the home. The lack of accessibility was rightfully a major source of stress for the family and we are all so thankful it could be taken care of before the winter.”
